In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, NAMI Iowa will host a dinner and live entertainment fundraiser dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness. This inspiring evening features powerful storytelling and performances that highlight the lived experiences of individuals navigating mental health challenges. Proceeds from this event directly support NAMI Iowa's education, advocacy, and support programs serving communities across the state.

Will I receive a ticket for the event?

You will not receive a physical or digital ticket for the event. 

If you have a table, or have a guest joining you and you haven’t provided the names of your guests, please email their first and last names to [email protected]. 

NOTE: There is no formal check in for this event. You will receive table assignments via email the day of.  

What should I expect for attire?

Cocktail attire is encouraged.

Where can I park for the event?

There are two parking garages within walking distance of The Tea Room, one at 9th and Locust, and another at 9th and Mulberry St. Rates are $1 per hour (up to $10 per day) Monday through Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Street parking is available -- you must download the ParkDSM app on either the Apple store or Google Play. Garages and Park DSM accept credit and debit cards only.

Street parking is free after 9:00 p.m. 

Can I purchase tickets or tables at the door?

Tickets and tables must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be available at the door. 

What time do doors open? 

Cocktail hour begins at 6:00 PM and the Dinner begins at 6:45 PM.
